During the game, sutdents can view how much time is left on their device without having to look up at the board
NOOOO! I love that they don’t know! As a matter of fact I will hide the game screen by clicking on the game code until the last few seconds. I call it playing in the Dark.
I approve of this idea, but I can see the benefit of hiding the timer, as it forces students to keep answering questions throughout the game. To compromise, student timers should be togglable.
I like for this to be an option we can swtich on and off… I sometimes do virtual gimkits (I post the code on their Google Classroom pages and they log in wherever they are at) and they don’t keep track of the time)
i really think this is a good idea!
Have it able to put it on and off during/before the game.

The countdown is available on student devices for all our 2D modes and we will keep this functionality. However, we will not be adding the countdown for our non-2D modes.
can you make it so that when you host it is an option?
No
