Nasty Usernames#1760

Please create an option for students to log-in only with their google account. I consistently have a student(s), (or maybe their sibling or perhaps its another teacher), that signs in with nasty, discriminatory usernames. I told administration. Nothing can’t really be done except that I watch like a hawk and delete the name as soon as it appears. Thank you.

We’re so sorry, that’s never a fun experience.

We do have an inappropriate name catcher. If any name gets past it, you can email hello@gimkit.com and we’ll get it on the list.

If you’re using the classes feature, you can control how names appear. Make sure you have “Auto-join” turned off so students can’t autmoatically join your games before review.

If you DO use classes, you can go to Dashboard > Classes> Class Name > Members. Here you can see everyone in your class and the e-mail they used to log in. Keep in mind that they may have used a “burner” email, so this may not be useful for tracking them down.
