Instead of being completely frozen and not doing anything, students are monetarily “frozen” until they answer a certain number of questions correctly in a row. This way they aren’t just sitting there. (Team mode - they collectively have to answer a certain number of questions correct in a row?)
I LOVE THIS!
By “frozen”, you mean you won’t earn money when you answer questions, right?
Yeah
The sounds good so students still learn and practive, but it still keeps the competitive aspect. Maybe while your frozen you are asked the questions you misses. That way they can get practive in. As a fell safe maybe have a timer going so if they answer”x” questions there out or the timer runs out.
Love it! Sometimes students will target one person who they know will win, and then it takes the fun out of the game for that student!
So this really would be more of a “frozen from the shop” until you answer a certain amount of questions?
You should make it prisoner so freeze is stil in-game
@Josh Feinsilber I like that idea. You could be frozen from the shop for a extra 5-10 seconds??
Maybe. This seems like a good idea, but what about students with low accuracy? They could be stuck forever!
Yes but they would learn from their Mistakes would they not.
true…
I get the point of this suggestion but If people could just anwser questions to un-freeze, the person who is super good can just get out of being frozen almost instantly.
That wouldn’t be that much fair being how the power-up is now.
what if only the teacher can do this or maybe this costs a lot o money
Smort, but still allow teacher unfreezing or a max time of Maybe 30 seconds.
Yes. We have to keep the struggling students engaged and working thought the challenge. Often I see those strugglign students sitting and watching the game status, or shopping instead of trying to answer a question.
Hey there everyone!
Thanks for the suggestion! We don’t plan to change how the Icer works. If you’re not a fan of the Icer, you can always disable it by turning on the “Clean Powerups Only” option when configuring your game options.
