My students and I love Gimkit. I teach a fully inclusive math class. My students with reading disabilities have a disadvantage when playing Gimkit; they simply can’t read the questions as quickly or with the comprehension as their peers. My suggestion for future improvements to Gimkit would be to add a ‘questions read’ feature.
There is a audio feature were you can record your voice, so you can create your own text to speech.
Thank you, can you tell me where I find information on how to use this feature? Would students have a choice on using the audio? Not all students need it.
When you add or edit a question, there is a microphone icon that can click. You then record your voice. When students get a question, the audio plays automatically and can be replayed, so if students don’t want the audio, they’d have to turn down their device’s volume.
Thank you!
You’re welcome. Here is a link to a Gimkit I made where the audio gives the students the answer that they are supposed to key in.

Thank you so much for your quick response, this is so helpful. You folks at Gimkit are really amazing! Keep up the great work!
I don’t work for Gimkit. I’m a Spanish teacher in Mountain House, California, who is enjoying Gimkit. I saw your comment and wanted to share my experience.
Lol, I didn’t really know who I was taliking to and forgot we can comment on each others posts. Thanks for your help. I teach 8th grade math in NY. All of the educators that use Gimkit are pretty amazing 😊
I know that we can add the audio ourselves, but because it plays automatically and is distracting for kids who don’t need it, many of them have to mute their devices. This is a problem when we’re on a Zoom together, and I need to talk to them. Adding an immersive reader, or working on compatability with programs like Google Read & Write would be a huge help! Thanks for all you do!
